The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China (RDFZ) is a key school of the Ministry of Education and one of the first beacon high schools accredited by Beijing Municipal Government. Over the past 20 years, RDFZ has made tremendous progress and is now enjoying a high reputation in and out of China.

Mission

Co-founded by China Distance Education Holdings limited (NYSE:DL) and the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China (RDFZ) in October, 2005, National Primary and Secondary Education Resources Sharing Coalition ("Coalition") is a non-profit educatioanal organization aiming to constitute an online platform based on IT technology to share education resources among schools throughout China. Currently, the registered members have covered over 4200 primary and secondary schools, and over 710,000 teachers and students, sharing over 64,000 pieces of education resources. The top schools in the Coalition also devote to improving the education in the western provinces of China. For example, RDFZ conducted a Hand-in-Hand program to accept 10 students from Liupanshan Middle School in Qinghai Province to study on its campus. www.g12e.org serves as the Coalition's official websites and it has been the showcase of the activities of the Coalition.

Recent Activities

President Hu Inspected the Coalition

On Teachers' Day, 2010, President Hu Jingtao inspected the Coalition's classroom located on the second floor of Laboratory Building of RDFZ. He visited the interactive online live class with students from Guizhou Bijie Minority Middle School and Ningxia Liupanshan Middle School. He ecouraged students online: "to make full use of the distance education platform for a better edcation so as to contribute more to our nation in the future".

Delegation from the U.S. Department of Education Visited the Coalition

On Dec 13, 2010, the delegation from the U.S. Department of Education led by Anthony Wilder Miller, Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer visited the Coalition in RDFZ. The teachers of the Coalition showed how they conducted online live class synchronized with students from Henan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Ningxia through the coalition's platform. Miller commented: "The class is very instructive and the Coalition demonstrates what education will be in the future."

Coaltion Participated the 1st National Demo Expo of ICT Application in K-12 Schools

On Sep 25, 2012, the 1st National Demo Expo of ICT Application in K-12 Schools started in Shenzhen, China. The Coalition, represented by Dr. Wang Jun, the Secretayr-general of Coaltion particiapted the expo and displayed its products. The Coalition's Interactive Online Teaching Platform gained widely attention.
